Had the fortune of discovering a band from Brooklyn, NY named The Men. Their latest album "Tomorrow's Hits" is one of the better throwback Rock and Roll albums I have heard. Tomorrow's Hits has that great organic, raw feel to it which old school rock albums always seemed to possess. Those "old school" albums always seemed to have that special something in which we were never quite able to properly identify but we knew it was there and we knew it was good. That thing that we couldn't describe....this album has it!
It's always interesting to hear an album which is this consistently good and possesses a certain energy which you cannot wrap your head around. For 8 songs on Tomorrow's Hits, The Men were all tapped into the same thing and ended up producing this wonderful album which in my mind could still sound cool 40 years from now. It's these types of albums that keep me digging for more. The hope that someone or some group is doing something so outstanding that it could inspire. At the very least, isn't that what we all want?
